The databases I used were ARTSTOR and JSTOR. These databases covered art and history which was vry relevant to my research question. They contain academic articles. The articles are in English and full text is found. They are available off-campus.

I didn’t find any difficulty using either of them. I found that the information on JSTOR was more indepth than that of ARTSTOR but they were both just as fast in recoverig the information. I would most likely use JSTOR more often.

This semester in LALT I learned how to use the auc library database. This course taught me the proper way to research and the importance to relevant accurate keywords. It also exposed be to new databases that I was not aware of. I learned the difference between a popular journal and an academic journal. I discovered how to source in MLA style. What i wasn’t able to use was refworks because it was always down. Blogging on wordpress is like blogging on any other website it’s quite simple.

Provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for academic journals, magazines and trade publications.
So I may easily find articles on different pieces of art from different time periods from a variety of sources.

Oxford Journals Online
Because it has full text journals covering law, social sciences, and arts & humanities.

2. I searched Academic Search Complete for politics, art and italian renaissance, then limited the results to articles published in 2004. There were 3 articles, including this one: (APA format)

Studies in Italian History in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Vol. I: Political Thought and the Language of Politics. Art and Politics.

3. I limited the search to articles from peer-reviewed sources. There were 100 results, including this one: (MLA format–note difference from APA above)
